I really like the Segway. It might seem normal now, but it was a very short time ago that a two-wheeled vehicle that didn't tip over seemed magical and new. The parking enforcement officers near my home ride them around parking lots to make sure people feed the meters...they're that "normal".

Now it looks like there will be a new normal. Check out the video and ask yourself how cool THAT is.

When I showed this around earlier, someone asked why such a thing is revolutionary, or why it matters at all. After you watch the video, ask yourself why this device might be better than a "personal scooter"...especially around the house. No more fighting to turn sharp corners, no more having to widen doorways to accommodate a scooter. While it might not work "as is" as a replacement for wheelchairs, think of ways it could be used to replace a thousand other devices. Wow!
