Obama's Iconography
As a freelance web designer, I'm fascinated by representative art. That is, when one thing represents another, a complex message can be communicated in a very simple manner. This goes back before I was a web geek...I remember wishing I could put a few companies' logos on my bedroom wall. I love icons, symbols, and glyphs.
This interesting video explains a few elementary thoughts about President Obama's symbol...you know, the big O that appears everywhere. It's elementary, anyway, for people who've studied mass communications, web design, and marketing. Some of you haven't given much thought to the images you've seen a million times, and that's why I'm posting this well-done and thought-provoking video.
Thanks to my buddy Brian for the link.
