I love a good story. After a great book, a great movie is one of my favorite things. I'm particularly fascinated by the special effects...explosions, stunts, camera tricks, and computer-generated thingamabobs. The video below highlights some notable effects from the past 100 years of movies.

While 'manual' effects (before computers) required movie makers to be more creative, there's no question that the addition of computer graphics have brought magic to the big screen. My son (born in 1999) sometimes asks whether something on TV is real, or imaginary...that's how good we've gotten at pretending.
